LOVE
The greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:13
Methodist center their lives around a loving relationship with Jesus Christ, following his great command to love God and neighbor. A global church, Methodism’s idea of neighbor is wide indeed. At Morton Methodist, we engage in acts of love through mission and service, in devotions of love through worship and study, and in disciplines of love through small groups and fellowship. At Morton Methodist Church, we know that the greatest of these is love.

GROW
The seed fell on good soil where it produced a crop. -Matthew 13:8
Methodists believe that God plants a seed for harvest in every human heart. Our job is to prepare and till good soil for that seed to grow into ripe fruit. At Morton Methodist, we continually seek growth in our discipleship, organizing our entire church life around the cultivation of good soil to produce Christ’s crop.

WITNESS
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations. -Matthew 28:19
Methodists serve as a live-wire conduit for the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives. Our lives stand as a witness to that power by embodying the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere we go. At Morton Methodist, we do not believe Christianity occurs behind the walls of a building on Sunday. No. We witness to the world through acts of justice, mercy, piety, and love until the world is transformed into kingdom ground wherever the people of God stand together. We make disciples of all the nations.
